2nd Major Update 2007.. Coming Soon!

For those of you that have purchased the Blast Package, you know you get lifetime updates. That means all updates, new versions of the Blast Guide, the other guides, even new bonuses and supporting material added.

The last major update was early this year.. around Feb, March 2007.

It’s time for another. I update the package in some way a few times a year.

I actually wanted to post this because I thought for the first time I’d ask for some feedback. The guide is for you afterall. It’s not for me. :D

I’ve been listening to you and I am already adding some more things including a “Quick Reference”.

Besides minor updates to the Blast Guide, this update will also include total updates to:

  • Adwords Primer3 (Updated & Released!)
  • Landing Pages 101 Guide - This is actually going to be split apart and I’m going to be going into more detail..
  • The Ad Group Clustering Guide

Between the Blast Guide and Adwords Primer3, all of you will have over 200 pages of Adwords & Affiliate Marketing training.

I would like to open this post up to comments… If you have the Blast Guide, is there anything you’d like to see added or covered that I haven’t to date? I cover a lot of stuff.. and I cover a lot more advanced stuff and provide the Video Tutorials etc at the CBS Membership.

But is there any foundational stuff that you would like to learn about? Maybe changes to the layout? More examples of things? More screenshots? I’m actually updating all the screenshots in the Adwords Primer3 guide and I’ve included references to several of the new features.

I can’t promise I can add everything in this update. But I will certainly consider it for now or down the road.

Thanks Everyone and Good Luck Blasting!

This is probably not what you’re looking for, but it would be really helpful to have page numbers. That would make it so much easier to find info in my printed copy, which I keep handy for quick reference.

    Hi Jackie!

Yep, that one is on the list. Thanks for bringing it up.

I have no idea why I don’t have page numbers.. I think when it was just a 35 or even when it was an 85 page guide it was fine. But the last update when it ballooned to 163…

    Yeah, it’s time. ;)

That combined with the new “Quick Reference” I’ve put together should help tremendously.

Thanks for the input Jackie. Take care!

    Hi Matt,

I really appreciate all the work you have put into teaching us about internet marketing. I been researching just about every form of IM there is. The only problem is, that I’ve read so many things, that at this point, I believe I’m stuck on stupid. LOL , O’ well, This too shall pass. I’ve purchased just about every piece of software and get rich scheme that’s been available in the last 3 years, the number of conflicting reports is enough to drive anyone mad. So I’ve decided to turn the page and start a new chapter. Of all the things I’ve read, your advise appears the most logical. With the markets in constant flux and considering the amount of time it take to complete any viable marketing research with other methods, there seems little choice.

There is a software package called MindJet MindManager Pro 7
that would allow you to demonstrate any sequence of tasks, with complete instructions and tools per event. With a tool like this, you could offer complete instructions with links to the appropriate software, documentation and or websites in question.
Mind Maps are awesome when it comes to creating instruction packages for others to learn from or when you have a sequence of steps that you use on a regular bases. You simply create a mind map with all the tools you need along with any instructions or notes you might require. The software is a little pricey but there is a free viewer available so that anyone can still use mind maps created with their software. Oh and one more thing, it would be great, if you would include more instructions on how to use software packages like KeyWords Analyzer 7, more in depth instructions in the use of Competition Dominator and Xtreme Conversions Scripts. Your know, stuff like that there. and, Oh ya, and since I’m already down here on my knees begging, how about a very simple and direct list of instructions to import websites or templates into DreamWeaver with a list of possible modifications to alleviate any problems with possible footprints. OK, I think my little prayer session is just about over. Sorry I’ve been so Blabby.
I guess I’ve been locked up here in my office for to long.

    Best Wishes,

    Stewart

    Good Stuff. Thanks Stewart!

It’s actually quite amazing.. I never imagined the Blast Method would actually adapt so well to changing environments online. I’ve seen so many things over the last few years rock the Adwords landscape..

..but Blasting continues to deliver the niches.

Mindmaps - Great idea. A while ago I was looking at introducing some dynamic flow charts that would do something similar. Linking out to resources etc..

I wonder how MindManager compares to FreeMind..

    http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

I’ve used that a lot for my own personal mindmapping of projects etc.. I hadn’t considered to date about integrating it into training, but maybe I should think harder about that….

I’ll take a look at Mindmanager closer.

Tool Tutorials… yes. That’s something I’ve wanted to do more of for a long time at the CBS membership. I’ve done a bit in some of the tutorials and video follow alongs I do, but I could certainly use some focused tutorials.

Maybe I’ll put this on my list after I’m done with the Backstage Video Tutorials I’m working on right now. I’m almost done with them..

Dreamweaver.. I don’t use. But I’ll talk more about templates as time goes on. Footprints.. are you talking those that might be picked up with site/content generators?..

… side note. With the coming updates, I have a set of php templates I’m going to be providing everyone that buys the Blast Package. Very easy to use and modify. They look nice and will be great to build some basic sites to make G happy..

    Thanks for your thoughts Stewart!

Matt, thanks to your in-depth tutorials, I am at last able to
resist the latest coaching membership coming down the
pike. I was getting extremely frustrated with the
competitive Clickbank environment, so I especially
appreciated the Commission Junction example, discussion,
and screenshots. These tutorials are the next best thing to
having a personal mentor–and I really, really appreciate
them. My first long market/product search inside CJ went
a lot easier today with the background from the tutorials.

When you get around to it, could you go into the pay-per-
lead and other pay-per-action programs? Just having you do
an introduction with a discussion and some screen shots
gives me a big boost of confidence when I tackle a new
program or method. And: a little help with PHP would be
    greatly appreciated.

I’m a Mindmap freak, too, and think MindManager 7 is a true
wonder with the new notes feature. Even with complete annotations, however, I don’t think a MindMap would be as valuable as the video tutorials you’re doing on the Blasting methodology. Maybe it would be suitable for breaking a
tool like Keywords Analyzer down into functions–or for any
step-by-step process without too many extraneous choices
    and decisions coming into play.

I looked at FreeMind before purchasing MindManager. I’m
pretty sure most of the mind mapping software is basically
similar–it’s the interface and optional toys you happen to
like that count in my opinion. I liked MindJet’s tutorials, so
    that influenced me a lot.

Thanks again, Matt. And: could you please tell me how to
access the forum you keep referring us to? Your universe is
getting so big, I’m having navigation problems.

Thanks for your comments Ruth! I’ll put your suggestion on the list and see if I can put something like that together for you.

Ruth you are a member of CBS, there is a link on the main menu called “XP Forum Signup”. It gives you step by steps as to how to get in there..

Plus a little while back I made some CBS Tour videos that will show you exactly how to get signed up plus a tour of the forum..

You’ll find that on the top menu - CBS Tours.

If you still get stuck, simple place a ticket:

    http://www.campaignblasts.com/support/

You certainly don’t want to miss out on what’s going on there. We got a great community and we have some great discussions related to Blasting… Adwords, Aff Marketing.

If you need anything else, just let me know!

    Hi Matt,

Smart Draw puts out a great flow chart pkg. They really cover a lot of territory, you won’t believe the templates that come with the pkg. But in all sincerity I believe you’ll find the mind jet pkg. just what you’ve been looking for. As far as the foot prints go, I Actually, purchased a ton of adsense templates from Joel Comm, they really are pretty nice, but if I use them, they’ll have to be reworked and the content rewritten. I’m not really sure if I want to go there yet. I was thinking about feeding them to that Hyper VRE Gold pkg. and using a combination of RSS feeds and fresh articles as bate and then use PPC to feed them traffic. But first, I think the best thing to do would be to search the market for some new products, Isolate a few action keywords by examining the product sales pages, then use Keywords Analyzer 7 to figure out my PPC competition. Produce a few pertinent adgroups. Work out a good negative keyword list. Then use the Xtreme Conversion Scrip to track my keywords and do a direct link to merchant using a redirect from my site using one of the Stealth Affiliate scripts. Then only after finding a viable campaign, find one of those templates with a relevant profile that fits the theme. Wow, that’s pretty scary, considering I haven’t really done a thing yet. I’ve almost got myself thinking I know what I talking about. LOL…
In actuality it might be best to stick with simple landing pages and offer a presell or product review. I’d probably cover a lot more territory that way and acquire a greater market base in less time.

Oh, there is one thing that you could do that would be really cool. Do a complete tutorial on Adwords Dominator. Chris’s help files are really sketchy for people with little experience.

Once again, thanks for sharing these great experiences with us.

    Best Wishes,

    Stewart
