Affiliate Marketing or Adwords… Just Ask!
Posted: November 12th, 2007 | Author: Matt Levenhagen | Filed under: Campaign Blasting, Tips & Advice, Your Mindset | 9 Comments »One of the areas that frustrates me to a degree.. and maybe simply just baffles me… is that I see people not follow through and they hardly get started with the Blast Method before they are off doing something else or quit. This isn’t the majority.. but a percentage I see.
I know there are people that run into something mentally.. where they try it and just can’t see how it can work.
Or they are influenced by indoctrination from other marketers or groups that don’t understand the methods we use here. Or have learned things in the past they take as truth, but isn’t applied here. Sometimes people learn things from one marketer and assume that it applies to everything..
Or they hit other roadblocks.. with their Adwords Account, a network.. or affiliate program.
Whatever! There are things that are going to stump people.
The fact is that’s life and business. There are going to be obstacles.. there are going to be concepts sometimes that don’t make sense on the surface…
There are some things with the Blast Method that require an entire shift of thinking. They don’t fall in line with the traditional way of doing things. They go against the grain as what people might think is the right thing to do.
But… to make the Blast Method work, there are concepts and principles that must be adhered to no matter how someone feels about them. It’s like taking an important part out of an engine. It might need that part to run!
Now I’m going to transcend and go beyond just my stuff.. the Blast Guide, membership.. forum etc..
This applies to any product, service or membership you find yourself with out there.
Ask questions… seek out help.
That’s it!
When I first started promoting affiliate programs with Adwords using the Google Cash method almost 4 years ago (yes that’s the method I learned to start making money.. before I developed my own).. I did get stuck. Yep! It was new to me and I had some hurdles mentally and in my account to get over.
But I didn’t just roll over and say it didn’t work.. or give up.
You know what I did?
I asked for help. I made a decision in my mind that I would make this method work no matter what. So I e-mailed Chris and he got back to me with the answers I needed.. (not sure that would happen today, but at the time he did answer pretty quick..;) )
Determination.. fixated on making something work.
It took me at the time 5 weeks to find myself at break even. I’ve never looked back since. I spent $400.. and within those 5 weeks I made $400.
But it might not have happened if I didn’t ask questions and really study and try to learn the concepts Chris laid out at the time…
If you are reading this and you are a customer or member.. hopefully you’ve found your way to our forum. If you need help in anyway, that’s where to get it. You can actually post question in the forum.. my team members or other members will help you… or I will!
You can Private Message me anytime!
If that doesn’t work for you.. you can submit a ticket to answer your Affiliate Marketing, Adwords or Campaign Blast Questions…!
Forum.. Private Message System.. Ticket System..
Myself.. My Team.. Fellow Members..
There is your support system. Use it!
One of the reasons why many fail is because they fail to ask for help and guidance.. Which doesn’t make sense.. it’s not unlike any other type of training or schooling.. if you get stuck on a problem in math class or a concept in psychology.. you ask the instructor, teacher or professor.
Yes.. they give you textbooks and materials. But then your instructor takes you beyond the material AND they are there to answer your questions and help you to succeed.
So think about that. Whether it’s my products, services or memberships.. or others.
The material is your foundation.. but the people supporting the material will build on that foundation if you ask them to.

[...] Matt Levenhagen wrote an interesting post today on Affiliate Marketing or Adwords… Just Ask!Here’s a quick excerptOne of the areas that frustrates me to a degree.. and maybe simply just baffles me… is that I see people not follow through and they hardly get started with the Blast Method before they are off doing something else or quit. … [...]
I liked the pep talk.
But I haven,t heard of the BLAST system.
What is that?
Thanks,
Chuck
Hi Chuck! It’s only one of the best way to find profitable niche markets on the web!
Essentially it uses Adwords and Affiliate Programs to test and break open markets. Then you take those that perform and expand them with Adwords or other methods.
Here’s some more info…
What is Campaign Blasting?
http://www.campaignblasts.com/whatis/campaignblasting.htm
Video.. that tells you more about it..
http://blog.campaignblasts.com/affiliate-marketing-video-you-have-what-it-takes.htm
The sales page..
http://www.campaignblasts.com
You’ll learn the method through the 160+ Blast Guide, it’s accompanying guides, a membership you can join and a forum community where we all hang out, learn and challenge each other.
Great fun.. Great system for someone new to affiliate marketing.. and great system for a seasoned veteran if they want an easy way to test markets.
Recently I took part in what we call a “Blast Challenge”.. where we challenge each other to put up “X” number of Blasts in “X” amount of time…
I put up 25 Blasts… 1 in 5 saw sales.
Now I’ll take those and see if I can do all the things a PPC marketer does.. more keyword research, maybe building landing pages, playing with Bids to bring it into the best profitable position, geo-targeting, positions.. split-testing ads..
You name it. Sometimes a Blast will fizzle out.. sometimes you can expand them a great deal and they all eventually add up to a nice income.
Hope that answers your question! If you have any more, feel free to ask.
Thanks!

I totally agree with the necessity to ask for help. If you’re a starter and are inexperienced on how to grow your income, it is important that you chose an affiliate network that will guide you in your efforts. A great performance-based network should be committed to develop long lasting, successful relationships. Clickbooth, for example is constantly ahead of the game, which is apparent in the quality and volume of traffic to the various campaigns ran. Because Clickbooth understands the needs from publishers to increase their revenue, a dedicated on-site team of consultants offer free advices & strategies. Whatever network you decide to work with…..ask for their help.
Hi Clickbooth Person!
That’s true too.. some networks are easier to work with then others… I haven’t used Clickbooth.. but I might give you a spin; you have some nice looking advertisers.
But yes, the network and affiliate program wants you to succeed too. I work with some great affiliate managers that will fly to the moon for me if I ask..
The resources and help is there. More so now.. I can’t believe the difference a few years have made in that dept…

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article Just Ask!, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
Hi Daniel,
No problem… if you have any specific questions regarding anything, either ask here or submit a ticket..

Matt
I think its very unfair for you to create a whole long post that is talking about me in such a public way.
LOL.
But really this post of yours is no joke. It is not a joke at all. Thank you for posting it. This has stopped me in the past and it has stopped other people. In fact, I don’t see that I would necessarily have emailed Chris to ask for help. (How many people would have? So then, you’d just go on and buy another ebook or try another system. Aaah.)
I have this weakness. And yes, in the past I used to be frustrated when everything I wanted wasn’t in one ebook.
In fact the only reason I am here is that on a ppc coaching system I’m in, I hit a problem that seemed insurmountable. Which really depressed me (because I took the position that it was insurmountable). It was to do with ethics, see.
But in the end, I asked and the forum seemed to come up with the answer. That was it. That’s me moving forward again.
But I still opened my mind a bit and am still curious about this blasting method. Curious that you are still using it, still writing about it, EVEN still supporting it although I heard about it about a year ago, which is like a lifetime in internet marketing terms. This tells me its stood the “test of persistence”.
Oh yeah, and it would support my new direction (away from seo) not disrupt it.
But that’s not a decision I can make today. For now, I must go and put up my blog for a domain which I’m starting right now.
Difficulties are really common in this business. I’d be a really smarter man if I learn to ask more.
all the best.

I will ask for help from now on

Hi Luke!
Yep.. still around. I actually just re-released the Original, Updated Version of the Blast Guide for the Blast Membership. It’s the original 29 Pager (todays is 160+ pages)…
But it was first released Aug, 2005.. so it’s been a while!
Plus… in the last year, a lot’s changed and the membership has grown in leaps and bounds. We added a forum this year and I have two new members of my team that are Blasters themselves helping me with support and in the forum.
Great stuff! Hopefully you get a chance to dive in one of these days.
Thanks for stopping by.. Good Luck with what you got going!
