5 Easy Things You Can Do to Keep and Improve Landing Page Profits

5 Easy Things You Can Do to Keep and Improve Landing Page Profits
From Blaster’s Adwords eZine Issue 11

There are a lot of simple things you can do to improve your conversion rates and landing page profits. Sometimes one little thing can throw your whole game off or one small tweak can have dramatic positive results.

Below I listed 5 things you can work on or implement today:

  1. Make Sure All Your Links Work! Review them periodically… You put all that work into your pages, don’t over look the simple things.
  2. Use Analytics, Action and Conversion Tracking to Improve the Performance of Your Landing Pages. Learn how people are using your pages by tracking their interaction with it. Programs I use or have used that can help:

  3. Direct Link to the Products You are Promoting. There is nothing worse then a visitor clicking on one of your links and then having to search the site for your product! I know this is not always easy with every merchant; but where possible.
  4. Test and Compare Merchants on Your Landing Pages. Over time you’ll see which converts better and put more money in your pocket.
  5. Suggest alternative products for your visitors. Let them do research from your web page. Have each link open into a new window so they can close each window and find themselves back on your landing page looking at another product suggestion.

There seems like there are a lot of things to remember to do. But take this list.. copy it down and add some other things to it that you know about and review it regularly, it can help you keep your mind sharp and focused. And it will keep those profits coming in and your income rising.

Persuasion… The Only Way You’ll Make a Sale.

Persuasion… The only way you’ll make a sale.
From Blaster’s eZine Issue 8

Every Adwords Professional needs to have some knowledge of how to use persuasion effectively. I’m not talking about over hyping, over promising, or any other attempt that deceives or misleads those who are pulled into your net.

No, I’m talking about something that is human. Something that is necessary on some level in all aspects of our lives. We all must persuade to get what we want in life.. And in sales, we need to persuade others that they need to take some sort of beneficial action. That’s how we make money with Affiliate Marketing and Adwords.

It starts by getting the prospects attention and then leading them through one or more written or visual processes to get them to do whatever it is you need them to do (click, sign up or buy…).

For instance, focusing on the benefits of a product you are pre-selling on a landing page will persuade the visitor to click on your affiliate link.

In choosing merchants, you need to make sure the merchant is persuasive enough to make the sale for you. Read their website.. their copy.. and think to yourself, would someone be convinced to take action?

Setting yourself apart from the competition and showing how your product is better will persuade someone to take action to your benefit.

Building credibility and value all help persuade someone to click your link or buy your product.

Take note as you surf the net and see sales letters selling YOU something. How are they persuading you to take action today? Special offers.. Limited numbers and time..?

As Adwords Advertisers we need to make sure every click counts and that we have done everything we can to insure that the person clicking through will be led step by step to taking some sort of action we require. Persuasion is at the heart of it. If we don’t find a way to persuade, we won’t find money in our bank accounts.

Squeeze Pages. Do You Gotta Have Them?

Squeeze Pages. Do You Gotta Have Them?
From Blaster’s eZine Issue 6

Can they increase the money that flows into your bank accounts? Yes.

Are they right for every situation and campaign? No.

If you are Blasting and following my methods, there is going to come a day not to far off in the future (if it hasn’t happened already) when you are going to have 10s or 100s of converting market & product mixes. It is unrealistic that every single one you are going to capture their e-mails, build autoresponder set ups, create monthly newsletters etc..

Personally I have a handful I worry about building lists for. I have others that I have a one time autoresponding system… 5 or 10 day e-mail course to sell to them over a number of days… But then I’m done with them. Others I just let ride without worrying about list building.

Pick the markets you think have the most volume and are making the most money… At least, that’s how I approach it. :-)

Some Blasts are going to always live as a direct response, non-capture set up. And there is nothing wrong with that; they could be very low maintenance and you spend very little time with them… Just a stream of passive income.

Different markets require different methods… and you can’t do everything. Your time is precious. Focus your energy on the cream of the crop.

Don’t feel pressured because everyone says you should be doing something… I agree, list building is important (It is one of my biggest focuses) and that it will help you make a lot of money long term if you pursue it, but know that you don’t need to do it for all your campaigns.

Do what’s right for YOU. You are unique.

I know Adwords Professionals that could care less about building lists and capturing e-mails… And they enjoy 6 figure incomes. Could they be doing better if they were list building? Maybe so!
