She mentioned she was trying some gimmicks that weren’t working for here. This was my response:

My *Traffic Generation* Advice: I personally stay away from gimmicks and “swarms”.. haven’t tried what you are doing, but I don’t need to because what I do works already.. keeps me busy.
My advice is to stick to time tested methods.. These areas are what I spend most of my time on:
1) Search Engine Optimization (SEO) which includes link building.. (develop optimized content, utilize platforms like blogs)
2) Pay Per Click (PPC), Placement… Adwords, MSN, Yahoo.
3) Social Media.. as you are. Which includes driving traffic direct to your content pages and offers… and building relationships that can in themselves, indirectly, drive traffic (JVs etc).
2 of those don’t have to cost you much money; just time..
Gimmicks either don’t work, drive terrible, untargeted traffic or are short lived; these other methods will sustain you long term and when implemented properly can generate a lot of targeted traffic long term.
Also.. I haven’t seen your sites, but work on how you are monetizing them and focusing your traffic to pages that are ready to receive and convert traffic. Improve your conversion processes and funnel; test, test, test!
I’ll leave you with this, you can have all the traffic in the world, but if it isn’t targeted and you don’t have a good process to convert that traffic or a good offer, then it’s worthless.
All traffic is not created equal.. the same traffic can react differently depending on the landing pages they land on.

P.S. We cover the PPC here in the Blast Membership (geared towards testing markets with affiliate programs). If you want more training in these other areas like SEO and social media, we cover those areas at Xtreme Profits!
P.S.S. If you have a question about PPC that you’d like to throw at me on Twitter, follow me! And ask! My account here: Matt Levenhagen on Twitter Note though, I won’t promise I’ll be able to answer every question; I am a busy guy. My thinking is a few a week max?.. or more depending on their complexity.

I think seo is the best way to get free targeted traffic.PPC can be extramly expeniseve and unefective.
I already know of SEO, and adding more content. Can you please tell me other methods that will generate traffic, because currently I do not get any traffic at all (0 page views a day). I know my content is fresh and original. Can you please give me some traffic generating methods that *do not cost at all*.
Hi William,
…I hope you aren’t talking about the site you are building links for here and pointing to >> infoproservices.com …because I don’t see any original content; just a fresh Wordpress install with the default ‘hello world’ post.
Assuming you do have a site that has fresh content and you need free traffic due to your budget (at least until your budget loosens up and you can try things like PPC), there are a lot of ways to get free traffic; to build free traffic over time. Examples:
– Article Marketing, Link Building
– Off-Page SEO which would include link building (one of the things you obviously already are familiar with linking back to your site in your comment above; Blog Commenting).
–Social Marketing.. Twitter, StumbleUpon bring me a great deal of traffic for starters.. Forums..
–And then we could talk about more advanced strategies like Joint Venturing, Building Your Own Affiliate Programs and Products.. Building Networks of sites
Beyond that though, you have to have a site worthy to send that traffic to. Because it isn’t just about traffic volume. It’s the quality of that traffic and it’s also about having a good product or experience for your visitors.. it’s about building a sales funnel that will put money in your pocket. It’s about making a sticky site and about having clear actions for your visitors to take.
ok? So, if you are serious about learning these things and how to drive ‘free’ traffic, join my membership: Xtreme Profits
It includes a bonus membership of mine called Affiliate Dynamo that will also teach you more about how to build Sites and Blogs with Wordpress.
HTH! And good luck with your endeavors!

ya i agree ! Getting traffic is a combination of a lot of things. The key to success is to create great content that visitors want to use, search engines will love and other websites will naturally link to. Of course, it’s easier said than done.
Really you are absolutely right. It may be daunting at first but easier as you go along. The first step is to plan your website. How many products do you have, are they changing fast, which means you need to update alot. Is your page going to be Dynamic or is it Static (Static if your products are few less than 25 and supply is constant) As an Internet Retailer and web designer I made a simple guide for my clients to read even before starting their site:
Good sensible advice that works Matt. Thanks for sharing it
Do social Bookmarking , yahoo answer, SMO, Blog comments, and article submission, and link building also helping you for Generation Traffic.
What a great piece of information…This is exactly what i’m searching for. Really nice post, and by the way, nice blog. Thanks for sharing.
