RE: Blaster’s PPC Affiliate Marketing Ezine
Source: Sent to Ezine Subscribers and can be found in the archive, but thought this would be good for my Blog Readers to know too! :D

———————————————-
This is a BIG moment in the history of the Blaster’s Ezine. It’s something no one knows I was going to do and may even come as a shock to some.

This serves as a heads up. This will be happening in the coming week(s).

As you may know, I first wrote the Blast Guide in the summer of 2005. Since then we’ve trained people in the 1000s how to use this method to find profitable niche markets.

Since the original Blast Guide came out I have dramatically expanded the training we offer in the form of other guides and a membership.

One of those special guides was the **Adwords Primer** for Blasters.

You ask: “Isn’t the Blast Guide your Adwords training?”

No.. actually it’s not. It teaches how to use PPC to find profitable niche markets:

– PPC Training (Adwords focus which can be applied to all engines)
– Affiliate Marketing Training
– Niche Research – How to Find Profitable Niches

The Blast Guide is 200 Pages! If I was going to include all the basics of Adwords, tips and advice within the guide it would get really confusing and bloated really fast…

There’s a fine line I have to tread writing the guide; I have attempted to be comprehensive yet not include too many details to make it unmanageable to study. I have to decide how ‘detailed’ and basic I can be yet cover the topic in a reasonable length.

That’s why I keep the basic Adwords training separate.

(and a reason why I’m also coming out with a glossary of terms in the very near future that will compliment it per the request of members)

The Adwords Primer is what members have been provided for a few years now to actually get started with their Adwords Account, getting it set up right and showing what we recommend in terms of settings and configurations.

It provides the foundation to understand how Search Engines work and where we are advertising (Search, Search Partners, Content Network).

For instance:

- What should you set your bids at?
- How do you write great ad copy?
- What Daily Budget should you start with?
- What Delivery Method should you choose?
- When should you worry about Ad Scheduling?
- What Google Networks should you concern yourself with?
- What’s this thing called Quality Score?

And way more.. currently it’s a 50 page guide. That’s being expanded and…

################################################## #
…soon it will be GIVEN to YOU reading this!
################################################## #

From here on out ALL my Blaster’s Ezine subscribers will get a copy of this basics guide along with a new guide I’ll working on that covers the basic intro of the other big two PPC Engines: Yahoo and MSN.

The Adwords Primer will include a new section in this latest version fielding how not to get your account suspended in Google.

As you may or may not know a small percentage of advertisers got their accounts shut down permanently last year. Some for fuzzy reasons.

I’m going to tell you what I think in this new guide that you need to focus on so this doesn’t happen to you.

And hopefully, because of the small number of people that talk negative about Google and have spread their ‘personal’ experience publicly, I can reinstall faith in this method of advertising.

Like most things, we never hear about the majority that are doing great.. we hear loudly from those that think they were treated unfairly. (Some were.. and I feel terrible for those who have been hurt by the suspensions)

But it’s not an accurate picture. Many, including myself, are still flying along..

If you approach Adwords ‘right’, you should have no problems now or in the future. (don’t put all your eggs in their basket long term.. but don’t ignore the largest source of traffic (70% of all Internet Searches) on the web!

Matt, How can you do this? Doesn’t that drop the value of your Affiliate Marketing & PPC Membership?

Not at all! The membership is about the Blast Method. It’s how to do Niche Research and find profitable niche markets you can build an Affiliate Business around.

The Blast Membership includes:

– The 200 Page Blast Guide
– Bonus Memberships: Affiliate Dynamo and Ezy Websites
– Hosting through Ezy Websites and a Web Builder
– The Blast Community
– Live Follow Alongs recorded for your browsing..
– Community and Personal Challenge Areas
– A members area with 100s of more training articles to help you become a better Affiliate and PPC Marketer.
– The Blast Team (Tricia and Steve) who have been with me for over 2 years helping people like you succeed by sharing their own expertise and knowledge.

And much more!

So.. the Adwords Primer is just a fraction.

But a valuable fraction! That now allows me to provide huge value to my Ezine subscribers.

I know times are hard for many of you…

Whether that’s economic reasons, job loss.. or you’ve struggled in other ways with your online business.

This is one way I can help you learn about this great advertising model and help you do better in the profits department.

It also will help prepare you so you can feel more confident about learning the Blast Method and give you more confidence joining us when you’re ready.

What Else?

Those who sign up will still get the 50 Adwords Tips..

And I’ll be sending more tips and advice to you separate from these guides. I have plans to take things out of the Adwords Tips report and the guides and expand on them through this Ezine and e-mail.

So a LOT to look forward to!

I’m not going to set a date on this… I like to take my time with updates. I do them generally once a year; and I normally make a lot of changes, expand topics etc when I do this.

With the primer I’m freshening up the screen-shots to reflect the new Google Adwords Interface, expanding on some of the content, adding content…

It’s taking a little while, but I’ll project within 2 weeks you’ll have it in your hands.

After that I’m turning my attention to a Blast Guide update which I hope to have completed by the end of February.

In the meantime, I hope your year is off to a GREAT start!

Good luck with your websites, your affiliate marketing efforts and/or Pay Per Click advertising efforts!!

Adwords Tracking

Posted: November 24th, 2009 | Author: Matt Levenhagen | Filed under: Testing & Tracking, Tools of the Trade | Tags: , | 17 Comments »

When you start reading about Adwords Tracking do your eyes start to glaze over? Your mind wanders?

For me tracking is one of the most important topics as a Search Marketer and I personally find it very interesting and know it to be one of the most impacting skills to learn as a PPC Marketer. The day I started paying more attention to it and applying it to all aspects of my business is the day I started to see real progress in the ‘profits’ department.

Adwords Tracking

The trouble is there are so many things regarding Google Adwords tracking to learn. Google provides you a large set of data you can act on; you can never accuse them of holding back in that department. ;)

The trick is learning what to pay attention to, figuring out what’s most important, how to track everything, what tools to use and how to filter all those stats so you can apply them in beneficial ways to your campaigns.

A good friend of mine online I’ve known for a few years, Adriana Copaceanu, contacted me this last week and asked if I wouldn’t mind answering some questions for her readers on her new blog (My Online Business Journey) regarding Adwords Tracking. I said, “Sure!” I knew tracking was a big topic, but here was a chance for me to help others understand the big picture and boil tracking down so it’s easier to understand and tackle.

After answering the questions it essentially turned into a 5 page report! So Adriana decided it would be best to break them up into parts and topics for better discussions on her blog.

I’ll post a link to each part here so you have them in one place. To understand tracking I believe you also have to understand how each level works from campaign to keyword. So you’ll not only learn what tools I use and recommend to track various things, but also what I believe you should pay attention to, how to decide what tools to use or start with and the importance of each element.

Here’s our Series on Adwords Tracking:

Part 1:
What is the difference between campaign, ad group, text and keyword tracking?

Part 2:
Google Adwords Tracking – Ad Group Level

Part 3:
Google Adwords Tracking – Text Ad Level

Part 4:
Google Adwords Tracking – Keyword Level

Part 5:
Is Google AdWords Tracking Important?

Part 6:
Adwords Tracking Helps You Make More Money

Part 7:
AdWords Tracking Made Easy

Great posts if you are interested in learning more about this topic and how to approach the myriad of tracking options and all the stats you have access to in your Adwords Account!

I hope this information helps! Good Luck!
